HERE'S YOUR ANSWER FRIEND,

GIVEN : EQUATIONS

x + y = 30...........................[1]

and,

x - y = 14..............................[2]

NOW,

ON SOLVING THE EQUATIONS WITH ELIMINATION METHOD WE HAVE,

x + y = 30
x - y = 14
---------------
2x = 44

x = 22

NOW ON SUBSTITUTING THE VALUE OF x in the [2] we have,

x - y = 14

22 - y = 14

==> -y = 14 - 22

==> -y = -8

==> y = 8

HENCE,

x = 22

and,

y = 8
