1. a) 2/11+ 5/7= (14+55)/77 (finding the LCM)

=69/77

b) 11/25 × 5/9 = 11/45

2. 8x+15- 12×-9 at x=2

(8×2) +15- (12×2) -9 = -2

3. a) 12m-9=39

12m=48

m=4

b) ⅔ y =5

y=15/2

4.

Given-

marks for correct answer= 5

negative marks for incorrect answer= 2

no. of correct answers = 7

no. of incorrect answers= 7

To find

Heena's total score

Solution

total score= (7×5) - (7×2) = 35-14 = 21

5.

a) 3K+5=44

3K=39

K=13

b) -18/22 is greater.

since the denominators of both the fractions are same so, the bigger numerator will make the fraction bigger than the other.

Hence -18/22 is clearly a greater fraction than -20/22

Also, if we plot both the integers on a no.line -18/22 will appear at the right of other.
