2) Banu is 20 years older then binu. In five years, Banu will be twice as old as binu. Find their present ages.

Then,the equation is: (1+4) years=5x

5x=5.

x=5/5

So,the age of child is: 1 year

2)Consider Banu's age is x years

Binu's age is y years

1st equation is: x=y+20

2nd equation is: (x+5)=2(y+5)

or, x+5=2y+10

or, y+20+5=2y+10

or, y+25=2y+10

or, y-2y=10-25

or, -y=-15

So, y=15 years

So,x=y+20

x=15+20

So, x =35 years

So, Banu's age is 35 years

Binu's age is 15 years
