Solve the following. 1) Line AB measures 50 mm in FV. It is inclined to the HP at 30º. Angle of the TV of line AB with XY line is 50⁰. Point A is in first quadrant and 20 mm from both the HP and VP. Draw FV and TV of the line AB and find out its inclination with the VP and TL of the line AB.

Answer:

Draw XY line.

Mark a’ and a at 10 mm above XY line and 20 mm below XY line respectively.

Draw horizontal line (Locus of a’ and a) from a’ and a respectively.

Draw the FV of given length 50 mm at an angle of 45° from point a’. Mark end point b’.

Join a’b’ (FV).

Taking a’ as centre and a’b’ as radius draw an arc which will cut the locus of a’ (horizontal line passing through a’), mark that point b2’.

Join a’b2’ is elevationn length (EL).

Take the projection of b2’ into TV (Draw a vertical line from point b2’).

Draw a line from point a at angle of 45°(inclination with VP) which will cut the projection line, mark that point b2.

Join ab2 (TL in TV).

Draw the locus of b through point b2.

Take the projection of b’ into TV which will cut the locus of b, mark that point b

Join ab (TV)

Taking a as centre and ab as radius draw an arc which will cut the locus of a, mark that point b1, ab1 is plan length (PL).

Take the projection of 1’ into FV which will cut the locus of b’, mark that point b1’.

Join a’b1’ (TL in FV).
