Solve the following:- 1. Ram Kumar mixes cement with sand for some repairs work to be carried out in his house. He used 23/5 kgs of cement and 1/2 kg more of sand than cement. In all he needs 10 kg of mixture. Does he have enough mixture? If yes, how much more does he have, if no, how much more does he need? 2. Candy bought 6 ¾ kg of oil in January, 5 ଵ ଼ kg in February and 7 ½ kg in March. How much oil did she buy in all? 3. Haden bought a watermelon weighing 4 ଵ ଺ kg. If he eats 3 ଵ ଶ Kg of watermelon, what is the weight of watermelon left?​

Answer:

1.  cement=23/5 kgs = 4.6 kgs

   sand = 23/5 + 1/2 = 23x2/10

5/10 = 5.1 kgs                                                                                                                                              

cement+sand = 4.6+5.1

                         = 9.7 kgs

total mix required = 10kg

he need 10-9.7 = 0.3 kg

                         =300 grams mix he need more
