½(x+5) - ⅓(x-2) = 4

(x/2) + (5/2) - (x/3) + (2/3) = 4

(x/2) - (x/3) + (5/2) + (2/3) = 4

(x/6) + (19/6) = 4

x/6 = 4 - (19/6)

x/6 = 5/6

x = 5
