SOLVE THE FOLLOWING
2(X+4)=12

2(x + 4) = 12 \\ 2x + 8 = 12 \\ 2x = 12 - 8 \\ 2x = 4 \\ x =  \frac{4}{2} = 2

->2x + 8 = 12

Bring 8 to the RHS

->2x = 12 - 8 (Note that 8 will be negative in the RHS)
