Answer:

Given,

5(P-3) = 3(P-2)

5P-15 = 3P-6

then,

5P-3P = 15-6

2P = 9

P= 9/2

Hope it helps.

Answer:

P = 9/2

Step-by-step explanation:

LHS = 5(P - 3)

=> 5P - 15

RHS = 3(P - 2)

=> 3P - 6

LHS = RHS

=> 5P - 15 = 3P - 6

Subtracting 3P from both sides,

=> 5P - 3P - 15 = 3P - 3P - 6

=> 2P - 15 = -6

Adding 6 on both sides,

2P - 15 + 6 = -6 + 6

=> 2P - 9 = 0

Adding 9 on both sides,

=> 2P -9 + 9 = 0 + 9

=> 2P = 9

Dividing by 2 on both sides,

=> 2P/2 = 9/2

=> P = 9/2
