let banu's age b x

binu's age be y

accordingly,

x=y+20

x-y=20 ---- 1

banu's age aftr 5 yrs = x+5

binu's age aftr 5 yrs + y+5

according to the conditions ,

x+5=2(y+5)

x+5 = 2y+10

x-2y=10-5

x-2y=5-----2

solving equation 1 and 2 using elimination method

x-y=20

-(x-2y=5)

---------------

0+y =15

hence ,

y=15

now substituting y=15 in equation 1

x-y=20

x-15=20

x=20+15

x=35

hence,

banu's age = x = 35

binu's age = y = 15

Let Binu's present age be  \textbf{x} years

So, the present age of Banu be
 \textbf{x + 20} years

According to Question,

x + 20 + 5 = 2(x + 5)

=> x + 25 = 2x + 10

=> 25 - 10 = 2x - x

=> 15 = x

Hence,

Bina's present age = x years = \textbf{ 15 years}

Banu's present age = x + 20 years
= 15 + 20 years
=  \textbf{35 years}
