Answer:

Given data:

At a given temperature 30°C,

Absolute humidity =18 gms/ cu.m

Vapour holding capacity of air =30.37 gms/cu.m

Solution :- a)

Relative humidity is the ratio of absolute humidity to maximum amount of water vapour that the air can hold at a given temperature. It is expressed as percentage.

Relative humidity =(18/30.37) × 100

=59.26

b)

Absolute humidity is the amount of water vapour I.e moisture content in the atmosphere, irrespective of the temperature.

Water vapour =4.08

Volume of air =1 cu.m

Absolute humidity =Mass of water vapour/Unit volume of air

=4.08/1

Absolute humidity =4.08 gm/m^3
