Hi Mate!!!

Perimeter of square = Length of wire.

4L = 100

L = 25cm.

where L is the length of sides of square.

Area of square = L² = ( 25 )² = 525cm²

Have a nice day ahead.

The area occupied by the square shape is 625\ cm^{2}.

Step-by-step explanation:

As given in the question that a wire of length 100 cm is bent to the form of a square.

We have to find the area occupied by the square shape. In this case, first of all we need to find the side (a) of square.

We know that,

Length of wire = Perimeter of square

100 = 4 x a       {since we know that, perimeter of square = 4 x a}

\frac{100}{4} = a

a = 25 cm

Now,

Area of square = a^{2}

                         =  (25)^{2}

                         = 625\ cm^{2}

Hence the area occupied by the square shape is 625\ cm^{2}.
