5 ( 2r + 1 ) - 3 ( 2r - 1 ) = 12 - 2 ( r - 3 )
=> 10r + 5 - 6r + 3 = 12 - 2r - 6
=> 10r - 6r + 5 + 3 = 12 - 6 - 2r
=> 4r + 8 = 6 - 2r
=> 4r + 2r = 6 - 8
=> 6r = -2
=> r = -2/6 = -1/3
