(sec θ - sec θ.sin θ)(sec θ + tan θ) = 1

[since, sec θ . sin θ = 1/cos θ × sin θ = sin θ/cos θ = tanθ]

(sec θ - tan θ)(sec θ + tan θ) = 1

sec²θ - tan²θ = 1

1 = 1

LHS = RHS

Hence, proved.
