Solve the following by cross multiplication method.
3x+5y=-1
x-3y=-5

$(3x + 5y ) - 5 = (x - 3y) - 1 \\ - 15x - 25y = - x - 3y \\ - 15x + x = - 3y + 25y \\ - 14x = 22y$
