x-3y=7                                    multiplying by 3  

3x-3y=15                                 3( x- 3y = 7)

                                                3x- 9y =21

from 2-1

3x-9y- (3x-3y)= 21-15

3x-9y- 3x+3y= 6                               when y = -1

        -9y+3y = 6                                3x-9 x -1 = 21

              -6y = 6                                      3x+9 = 21

                  y= 6/-6                                      3x = 21-9

                  y= -1                                          3x = 12

                                                                      x = 12/3

                                                                      x = 4
