Given :   x  + y/3 = 0.9 ,  11 / ( x + y/2) = 10

To find : Value of x & y

Solution:

x  + y/3 = 0.9   Eq1

11 / ( x + y/2) = 10

=> x + y/2 = 11/10

=> x  + y/2  = 1.1    Eq2

Eq2 - Eq1

=> y/2  - y/3 = 1.1 - 0.9

=> (3y - 2y)/6 = 0.2

=> y/6 = 0.2

=> y = 1.2

putting y = 1.2 in Eq1

=> x + 1.2/3 = 0.9

=> x + 0.4 = 0.9

=> x  = 0.5

x = 0.5   & y = 1.2
