Solution

  • x = 4
  • y = 2

Explanation

x+y = 6 ------(1)

x-y = 2 -------(2)

Now , subtract equation (2) from (1)

x + y = 6

x - y = 2

(-) (+) (-)

_________

2y = 4

_________

→ 2y = 4

→ y = 4/2

→ y = 2

Now, put the value of y in any above equation

→ x + y = 6

→ x + 2 = 6

→ x = 6-2

→ x = 4

{\small{\boxed{\frak{\red{\therefore x = 4  \: and  \: y = 2}}}}}

✌️I hope it helps you ✌️
