Solution:-

7x-2y=19 ............(i)eq

5x+9y=24 ..............(ii)eq

by using substitution method

taking eq(i) and find value of X, we get

7x-2y=19

7x=19+2y

x =  \frac{19 + 2y}{7}

now we got value of X and put the value of x on (ii) eq, we get

5 \times ( \frac{19 + 2y}{7} ) + 9y = 24

 \frac{95 + 10y}{7}  + 9y = 24

take a lcm=7

 \frac{95 + 10y + 63y}{7}  = 24

95+73y=24×7

95+73y=168

73y=168-95

73y=73

y=1

value of y=1,so on value of x we get

x =  \frac{19 + 2 \times 1}{7}

x=21/7

x=3

so value of x =3 and y=1
