Answer:

By elimination method

3x-y= 7 ( equation 1)

x+4y= 11( equation 2)( multiplying equation by 3)

Now

3x-y=7

4x+12y=33

Subtracting we get

-13y=-26

y= 2

Substituting y value in equation 1

3x-2= 7

3x=7+2

3x=9

x= 3

Answer: x=3,y=2

Step-by-step explanation:

3x-y=7 _(1)

X+4y=11 _(2)

Multiply (1) with 4

12x-4y=28 _(3)

Add (2) and (3)

13x =39

X=3

Put x in (2)

3+4y=11

4y =11-3=8

Y=8/4

Y=2
