assume 3x-y=7 as eqn 1 and x+4y=11 as eqn 2

multiplying eqn 1 by 4

we get

12x-4y=28 eqn 3

adding eqn 2 and 3

we get

x+4y=11

+12x-4y=28

we get

13x=39

x=3

substitute x=3 in eqn 1

we get

y=2

therefore we get x=3 & y=2
