5(1 - 2x) = 9(1 - x)

Multiply the brackets by the number outside the brackets

➾ 5 - 10x = 9 - 9x

Shift the numbers i.e. the like terms

➾ -10x + 9x = 9 - 5

Calculate

➾ -x = 4

Shift the sign of the variable from LHS to RHS

➾ x = -4

Solve :-

5 ( 1 - 2x ) = 9 ( 1 - x )

5 - 10x = 9 - 9x

- 10x + 9x = 9 - 5

- x = 4

x = - 4 [ Required Answer ]
