Hey friend..!! here's your answer
_________________________

 \frac{5x + 1}{12}  - 2 =  \frac{3x - 1}{9}  \\  \\  \frac{5x + 1 - 24}{12}  =  \frac{3x - 1}{9}   \\  \\  \frac{5x - 23}{4}  =  \frac{3x - 1}{3}  \\  \\ by \: crossmultiplication \\  \\ 15x - 69 = 12x - 4 \\  \\ 15x - 12x =  - 4 + 69 \\  \\ 3x = 65 \\  \\ x =  \frac{65}{3}
