⇒ ( 5p + 8 ) = 6 × 2

⇒ 5p + 8 = 12

• Transpose 8 to R.H.S

⇒ 5p = 12 - 8

⇒5p = 4

• Transpose 5 to R.H.S

⇒ ∴p = 4/5

• Hence value of p is 4/5.
