4/5 is the solution for value of p.
- Given equation is (7/2)p - (p+4) = 6
- Perform subtraction as well as addition between three terms on L.H.S
⇒ ( 7p - 2p + 8 ) / 2 = 6
⇒ (5p + 8 ) / 2 = 6
- Transpose 2 to R.H.S
⇒ ( 5p + 8 ) = 6 × 2
⇒ 5p + 8 = 12
- Transpose 8 to R.H.S
⇒ 5p = 12 - 8
⇒5p = 4
- Transpose 5 to R.H.S
⇒ ∴p = 4/5
- Hence value of p is 4/5.
