Step-by-step explanation:

given: 2x+3y=9.........(1)

3x+4y= 5..............(2)

equation (1) multiply by 3

so, 3(2x+3y=9)

6x+9y= 27...............(1)

equation (2) multiply by 2

so, 2(3x+4y=5)

6x+8y=10..................(2)

by subtracting equation (2) from (1) i.e., (1)-(2)

we have,

6x+9y-(6x+8y)= 27-10

so, 6x+9y-6x-8y= 17

by eliminating x terms,.....so, by cancelling 6x

we have,

9y-8y=17

so, y=17

by substituting y value in any equation....

we will get x= -21

so, x= -21 , y= 17
