solve the following equation and verify the solution x+7=17/6-5x/5

Solution
x+7 = 17/6 - 5x/5
x+5x/5 = 17/6 - 7
2x = -25/6
x = -25/12

Verification
LHS : x + 7
= -25/12 + 7
= 59/12

RHS : 17/6 - 5x/5
= 17/6 - (- 25/12)
= 56/12
As, LHS=RHS, ∴ verified.
