Answer :-

11

step :-

2x + 20x/100 = 24.2

LCM = 100

200x + 20x /100 = 24.2

220x / 100 = 24.2

x = 24.2 × 100/220

x = 11

  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

              Given data:- 2x+20\%\ of\ x=24.2.

              To find:- Value of the expression.

              Solution:-

  • Here we will use the transposition method.
  • Transposition is one of the linear equations.
  • To solve the transposition method we wi.ll Identify the variables and constants.
  • Then we Simplify the equation in LHS and RHS.
  • Now Simplify the equation using arithmetic operations.

        By using the transposition method.

        we get,

                  =>2x+20\%\ of\ x=24.2\\\\=>2x+\frac{x\times(20)}{100} =24.2\\\\=>2x+\frac{20x}{100} =24.2\\\\=>2x+\frac{2x}{10}=24.2\\\\=> \frac{20x+2x=242}{10} \\\\=>22x=242\\\\=>x=\frac{242}{22} =11\\\\=>x=11.

    Hence we will get the value x=11.
