multiply eqn 1 by the coefficient of x in eqn 2 & multiply eqn 2 with coefficient of x in eqn 1

3rd step

after multiplying u subtract eqn 2 from eqn 1

4th step

u will be left with y as the only variable

u den evaluate 2 get y being 1/13

5th step

with y =1/13

we put it into eqn 1 leaving x as our only variable

6th step

we evaluate 2 get x

finally HV x=18/13 & y=1/13
