solve the following Equation.

 \frac{x}{3}  -  \frac{x}{4}  = 14

(X/3) - (X/4) = 14 ; taking LCM

=> ( 4X - 3X ) / 12 = 14

=> X = 12 × 14

X = 168

takings  \: lcm \: of \: both \: the \: denominators

(4x - 3x) \12=14

x = 12 \times 14

x = 168
