Solution:-

 \frac{y}{5}  -  \frac{y}{6}  =  \frac{1}{30}  \\ \\  \\   \\  \implies \:  \frac{6y - 5y}{30}  =  \frac{1}{30}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \implies \:  \frac{y}{ \cancel{30}}  =  \frac{1}{ \cancel{30}}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \implies \: y = 1
