1. x – 2 = 7

Transporting 2 to RHS , we obtain that

x = 7 + 2

x = 9

More explanation on x – 2 = 7

Add 2 to both sides.

x = 7 + 2

Simplify  7+2 to 9 .

x = 9

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

2. y + 3 = 10

Transporting 3 to RHS , we have

y = 10 - 3

y = 7

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

3. 6 = z + 2

Transporting 2 to RHS , we have

6 - 2 = z

4 = z

Or

z = 4

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

4. 3/7 + x = 17/7

3/7 + x = 17/7

x = 17/7 – 3/7

x = 14/7

x = 2

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

5. 6x = 12

Given,

6x = 12

Divide both sides by 6,

We will get

 \frac{6x}{6}  =  \frac{12}{6}

x = 2
