16 - 2(3y + 5) = 4(y - 2)

 \implies16 - 6y - 10 = 4y - 8

Answer:

16-(6y+10) =4y-8(multiply 2inside left hand and multiply 4 inside right hand)

now open bracket

sign changed 16-6y-10=4y-8

16+8-10= 4y+6y

14 =10y

y=1.4
