UR SOLUTION :-

2 (3y - 5) - 2 = 3 (y - 3 )

=> 6y - 10 - 2 = 3y - 9

on taking x - terms one side n constants one side...

=> 6y - 3y = - 9 + 12

=> 3y = 3

=> y = 1
