3x - y = 2 ...eq1
x + 2y = 10 ...eq2

Multiplying eq2 by 3

3x - y = 2
3x + 6y = 30
Now Subtracting both of equations

-y - 6y = 2-30
-7y = -28
y = 28/7
y= 4

Putting value of y in eq2

x + 2 x 4 = 10
x+8 = 10
x = 2
