(a) \:  \: 2x + 8 + 7 = 15 \\ 2x = 15 - 15 \\ x = 0  \\ \\(b) \:  \: 3p = 6 \times 5 \\ 3p = 30 \\ p = 30 \div 3 \\ p = 10
