Solve the following equations.
a. 3x - 4 = 14​

Hence, for solving the above equation, we will solve it by separating the like terms at one side.

So, we will shift 4 from LHS to RHS, the sign will change from negative to positive,

So, we will get it as,

3x-4=14\\3x=14+4\\3x=18

divide by 3 both side

x=\frac{18}{3} \\x=6

Hence, value of "x" in above equation will be 6.
