Answer:

x = -23/5

Step by step solution:

3x + 5  = 4 ( 2x +7) (as in linear equations the denominator is being multiplied by the other number numerator u can say the denominator will go to another side and get multiplied)

3x + 5 = 8x + 28

now taking like terms on one side

5 - 28 = 8x - 3x  (as if one number is positive when it will go to another side it will become negative and vice versa )

-23 = 5x

x = -23/5

I hope it is helpful for u if yes then dont forget to like it.

Thank You!!

Answer:

x = - 23 / 5 ( or ) - 4.6

Step-by-step explanation:

3x + 5 / 2x + 7 = 4

3x + 5 = 4 ( 2x + 7 )

3x + 5 = 8x + 28

3x - 8x = 28 - 5

- 5x = 23

x = - 23 / 5

    ( or )

x = - 4.6
