Solution :

The given equation is -

(4x+1)/(3x-1) = -2

Cross multiplying

(4x+1) = -2(3x-1)

4x+1 = -6x + 2

>> 10x = 1

>> x = 1/10 or 0.1

Verification -

[4x+1]/[3x-1]

>> [ 4×0.1 + 1]/[ 3 × 0.1 - 1]

>> [1.4]/[-0.7]

>> -2
