Solve the following equations by the method of equating coefficiants 3x -5y=-1 and x-y=-1​

Answer:

3x-5y=-1. -(1)

x-y=-1. -(2)

multiply 3 on both sides in equation (2) and change the sign on both sides

we get

3x-5y=-1

-3x+3y=-3

---------------

0-2y=-4

y=-4/-2

y=2

sub y=2in equation (2) we get

x-y=-1

x-2=-1

x=-1+2

x=1
