Solve the following equations by the method of substitution. 6x+9y=10, 3x+4y=5.

6x=10-9y

x=(10-9y)/6

in the second equation

3(10-9y)/6+4y=5

(10-9y)/6+4y=5

10-9y+24y=6

10+15y=6

10-6=15y

4/15=y

6x=10-9(4) /15

6x=10-12/5

6x=50-12

x=38/6

x=19/3
