THE ANS IS :

Let us take the value of y from -5 to 5

So, when y = 5

L.H.S= 5 3 = 8 which is not equal to R.H.S

So, when y = –4

L.H.S= –4 –3 = –7 which is not equal to R.H.S

So, when y = –3

L.H.S= –3 –3 = –6 which is not equal to R.H.S

So, when y = –2

L.H.S= –2 –3 = –5 which is equal to R.H.S

Therefore, y = 2
