THEREFORE THE VALUE OF X IS -2/3

NOW

To check the result,

Putting value of x in both LHS and RHS

1. LHS = 3+2x

= 3 + 2(-2/3)

= 3 - 4/3

= 5/3

2.RHS = 1 - x

= 1 - (-2/3)

= 1+2/3

= 5/3
