D = (-14)² - 4×1×12

D = 196 - 48

D = 148

$x = \frac{ - ( - 14) + - \sqrt{148} }{2 \times 1}$


$x = \frac{14 + - 26.16}{2}$

by sign (+)

$x = \frac{14 + 12.16}{2}$


$x = \frac{26.16}{2}$


$x = 13.08$


by sign (-)


$x = \frac{14 - 12.16}{2}$


$x = \frac{2.16}{2}$


$x = 1.08$
