 \frac{1}{x}  = m \  \: \: and \:   \:  \: \frac{1}{y}  =  {n}^{2}

2m - 3n \: = 15 \:  \:  \: ...(1)

8m + 5n = 17 \:  \:  \:  \: ...(2)

4 \times ...(1)

8m - 12n = 60

subtract \: ...(1) \: from \: ...(2)

5n + 12n = 17

x =  \frac{17}{17}

x = 1

2m - 3 = 15 \:  \:  \:

17n = 17

n = 1

2m  - 3 = 15

2m = 15 + 3

2m = 18

m =  \frac{18}{2}

m = 9

 \frac{1}{y}  = 1

y = 1

 \frac{1}{x}  = 9

x =  \frac{1}{9}
