Answer:

av. speed= total speed ÷total time

in first 3 secs:

distance covered is 18m so, speed is18/3

in next 3 secs:

distance =22 so, speed =22/3

next 3 secs:

distance=14m so,speed = 14/3

now av. speed :

Explanation:

total distance=(18+22+14)M

total time=(3+3+3)secs

so ,av. speed =54m÷9m=6m/sec

so ,answer is 6m/Sec

Answer:

6 m/s

Explanation:

Case First:

Distance = d1 = 18 m

Time = t1 = 3 s

Case Second:

Distance = d2 = 22 m

Time = t2 = 3 s

Case Third:

Distance = d1 = 14 m

Time = t1 = 3 s

By formula, Average speed

= (total Distance)/(total Time)

= (d1 + d2 + d3)/(t1 + t2 + t3)

= (18 + 22 + 14)(3 + 3 + 3)

= 54/9

= 6 m/s
