solve the following
if the speed of light in a medium is 1.5 into 10 raise to 8 m/s, what is the absolute refractive index of the medium?

Refractive index of a medium = Speed of light in vacuum/Speed of light in a medium

1.5 = 3 x 108 / Speed of light in medium

Speed of light in the medium = 3 x 108 /1.5
                                                  = 2 x 108 m/s.
