  • −1 ≤ 2x + 4 < 5​

we can  split it  as

  • 2x +4 <5      ..(1)
  • and 2x +4 >= -1   ..(2)

On solving (1),

2x +4 < 5

2x < 5 - 4

2x < 1

x < 1/2

On solving (2),

2x + 4 >= -1

2x >= -1 -4

2x >= -5

x >= -5/2

so on combining both the solution we get,

-5/2 <= x < 1/2

= - 2.5 <= x < 0.5
