Solve the following inequations and represent the solution set on

the number line:

Answer :

OR

=> x € W - { 0 , 1 }

Solution :

  • Given : 3x + 5 < 7x - 1 , x € W
  • To find : Solution set

We have ;

=> 3x + 5 < 7x - 1 , x € W

=> 5 + 1 < 7x - 3x , x € W

=> 6 < 4x , x € W

=> 4x > 6 , x € W

=> x > 6/4 , x € W

=> x > 3/2 , x € W

=> x > 1.5 , x € W

=> x € { 2 , 3 , 4 , . . . }

OR

=> x € W - { 0 , 1 }

Hence ,

x € { 2 , 3 , 4 , . . . }

OR

x € W - { 0 , 1 }
