5x - 2(2x - 7) = 2(3x - 1) +  \frac{7}{2}  \\ 5x - 4x + 14 = 6x - 2 +  \frac{7}{2}  \\ x  + 14 =  \frac{2(6x - 2) + 7}{2}  \\x + 14 =  \frac{12x - 4 + 7}{2} \\ x + 14 =  \frac{12x + 3}{2}  \\ 2(x + 14) = 12x + 3 \\ 2x + 28 = 12x + 3 \\ 12x - 2x = 28 - 3 \\10x = 25 \\ x =  \frac{5}{2}
