solve the following linear equations by elimination method ,2x+y=8 and 4x+6y=7​

Answer:

2x+y=8 .........(1)

4x+6y=7.......(2)

multiply by 2 in (1) equation we get

4x+2y=16

4x+6y=7

change the signs and eliminate the 4x we get

-4y=9

y=-9/4

put the value of y in any equation we get x
