Step-by-step explanation:

2a \times 2b  \:   - 3a \times 3b \:  = d

(a + 2b) \times 2b  \:  -(2a + b) \times 3b \: = dx

2a \times (2a + b)  - 3a + (a + 2b) = dy

By Cramer's rule,

x = dx÷d

y = dy÷d
